- Read the books from my booklist. In my opinion these are the absolute best books on poker and specifically Texas
Hold'em
- Study the material, re-read it if necessary. Completely understand all the concepts, theories, and principles.
Just by reading these books, you will take two to three years off of the learning curve.
- Don't play with money you can't afford to lose
- Don't play a limit higher than your bankroll, there is plenty of short-term luck in Poker and you will need enough money
to suffer the fluctuations.
- Play tight but aggressive, don't get caught up in "gambling" with the other players.
